Senior Producer

 

Report to the Executive Producer as second in charge of all production operations. Lead a team of 15 direct reports including Producers, Associate Producers, Editors, Shooters, Social Media, Booking, Audience, and Interns.

Public Relations and Communications

  • Partnered with sales and marketing leadership to create and launch $7.5M in annual sponsored, paid media, and social media opportunities with clients within broadcasts.

  • Acted as a go-to resource for major clients, including Chase Bank, Ulta Beauty, Peapod, and Alessi Foods while managing 150+ client marketing and advertising campaigns.

  • Built the social media presence from zero to 427,000+ followers across Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram; managed all scripts, press releases, promo and marketing copy, social posts, and contest rules.

  • Partnered with multiple film studios on various promotions, giveaways, and screenings for the studio audience, including The Walt Disney Studios, 20th Century Fox, Paramount, Universal Studios and HBO.

  • Enabled the organization to conduct 60+ sweepstakes annually at a cost of just $3K; identified a web application that capitalized on landing pages and instant win games.

  • Retained the critical Chase Bank account by successfully promoting the ChasePay app; well exceeded Chase’s expectations for downloads in a single day.

  • Generated 2,000+ entries in 5 days to a contest for Emerald Coast Tourism Board, capturing a 66% email opt-in rate; launched the warm weather-focused campaign during the heart of Chicago’s winter.

Production Operations Leadership & Management

  • Built the show into a #1 ranking for a key Nielsen demographic of Women ages 25-54, as well as the #2 ranking for Men and Women ages 25-54.

  • Fill in for the Executive Producer and lead control room operations in a live show, minimizing issues by practicing sound, steady leadership and clear, consistent communication.

  • Engaged directly with the show’s top line talent to schedule production days, paid media shoots, field shoots, and public appearances.

  • Launched a “Shark Tank” type show with food entrepreneurs on behalf of the client, Peapod; managed the 6-week campaign to high levels of success, and ran the campaign four consecutive years.

  • Created numerous on-location productions, serving as Executive Producer for production teams at Walt Disney World, Disney Cruise Line, Aulani – a Disney Resort & Spa, and Adventures by Disney: Norway and New York.

    • Developed the shows from scratch, including creative, brand definition, hiring crews, arranging travel, assigning Producers, coordinating talent, and producing each segment.

    • Supervised Production of a Paid Media “Weight Loss Challenge” for Vitalife (social reach of 73,000+, including 1,200 reactions, comments, and shares). Re-signed client for 3 additional campaigns.

  • Work alongside the heads of Programming, Finance, Sales, Marketing, Design, Security, Engineering, IT, and Building Management, as well as C-level leadership, to communicate and procure show needs.

  • Ensure compliance as the liaison with the Legal department, resolving all issues related to contracts, fair use, music and video clearances, and contest rules.

  • Provide the hands-on coaching, training, mentoring, and guidance necessary to bring interns up-to-speed quickly during 10-week internship programs.

 

On-Air Talent

Serve as on-air talent and entertainment contributor with ownership for producing and fronting a segment on theater and entertainment weekly on live television. Supported a $1M deal between Broadway in Chicago and ABC7 by representing the Disney/ABC brand at events, galas, and parades.

Writer and Producer

Hired by Matador Network (2015 – Present) to write branded content travel pieces in partnership with Louisiana Tourism, with the goal of promoting destinations, cuisine, and culture across the state. Previously, freelanced for multiple shows (2008 – 2010) for NBC, MLSO Corp, and Atlas Media Corp.

  • Performed research on potential stories, created a production schedule, hired video crews, traveled nationwide to conduct interviews, and wrote scripts as Producer and Writer.

  • Worked as Coordinating Producer on “The Martha Stewart Show,” supervising a 6-member Field Production Unit consisting of 4 Producers and 2 Associate Producers.

  • Director and Story Producer on Atlas Media Corp.’s “Humanly Impossible,” performing research, supervising studio shoots, directing talent on-set, and working with production to create a visually appealing space for shooting.

  • Researched all 20+ stories that ran during the 2008-2009 season of The Weather Channel’s “Storm Stories” as Show Producer and Writer.

 

NBC | Peacock Productions                                                                                                                   2003 – 2008

Creator and Supervising Producer

Recruited as a Segment Producer and was producing full shows within two years. Produced 13 projects for NBC, its  owned stations, as well as Bravo, A&E, Discovery Channel, Lifetime, and Sundance.

  • Booked and worked with celebrity talent including Cher, Will Ferrell, Martin Sheen, Justin Timberlake, Kathleen Turner, Whoopi Goldberg, Kim Coles, Jane Pauley, Paul Newman, Ann Curry, Hoda Kotb, Kathy Lee Gifford, Toure, Katie Couric, Al Roker, and Bill Rancic.

  • Delivered a pilot and supervised final editing for “iVillage LIVE;” designed the revenue generating show concept which led to sold product placement and sponsorships covering the $10M production costs.
